Machines are not open yet. These pages describe Machines as they will open; until then, a create answers region_not_offered (422), “Machines are not offered in any region yet.”

Find what went wrong and what to do when a request to a Machine or to its API fails, or a Machine does something you did not expect.

A refusal names its code in the answer’s code, and the CLI prints it.

Most common

503 machine_waking: your program did not listen in time.
429 crash_backoff: your program exits as it starts.
402 payment_required: add credit.
401 exchange_required: an Agent key is exchanged for a token first.
Files, memory or processes are gone after a sleep.
